Gramercy Residences at Century City, Kalayaan Avenue near Makati Avenue, Makati City

Century holds first concrete pouring at The Gramercy Residences

Century Properties conducted the first concrete pouring at the construction site of The Gramercy Residences at Century City on Oct. 30, 2008, with the full attendance of its top officials, construction force and sales group.

The occasion officially commenced the foundation works for the building’s 6 basement floors, following the completion of site excavation early this month and the installation of metal re-bars. The depth of excavation is 26.7 meters, and more than 30 meters for the elevator shafts.

Joined by the company’s Vice Chairman Ricardo P. Cuerva, Chief Operating Officer John Victor R. Antonio and Chief Planning Officer Jose Carlo R. Antonio, company chairman Jose E.B. Antonio addressed the guests: “We would like to share this proud moment to our partners and buyers, as we witness the rise of one of Makati’s future residential landmarks.”

“As we partake in this experience we are also reminded of the fact that in these times of a global financial challenge, real estate remains as one of the preferred asset classes for most investors, for it is a tangible investment that appreciates in value overtime. And for most of us Filipinos, it is one of the most precious gifts we can pass on to our families,” he added.

The Gramercy Residences is the country’s first Fully-serviced, Hyper-amenitized luxury condominium, and the first residential tower to rise at Century City in Kalayaan Avenue, Makati. Full project completion is 2012.

Soho Central nears completion; early turnover expected


The first transportation-oriented development (TOD) in the Philippines, Soho Central, is poised for an early turnover in 2009 as construction continues ahead of schedule, reports construction management firm Nova Construction & Development.

Masonry works and waterproofing has reached 99 and 95 percent, respectively, in both the Mayflower and Shaw towers. Dry wall partitioning and the installation of gypsum ceiling is likewise 98 percent complete. The installation of doors and windows has reached 81 percent and is scheduled to be completed by January 2009.

Ongoing until February to March 2009 are the completion of electrical and auxiliary works, plumbing and sanitary work, fire protection facilities, and tile and stone works. Completion of kitchen cabinets and closets and architectural finishes, as well as special finishes for the pool and amenities are scheduled in March 2009.

Soho Central is the first TOD in the country that will have direct access to the MRT Shaw Station. It is located in the Greenfield District, at the corner of EDSA and Shaw Boulevard. It is a joint venture project of Greenfield Development Corporation with Century Properties and Meridien Development Group.

Construction at Grand Soho Makati reaches 39th floor

Structural work at Grand Soho Makati (GSM) has reached the 39th level. The target completion of concreting up to the 41st floor is end of October, according to developer Century Properties.

Masonry work, including plastering and finishing, is ongoing up to the 32nd floor. The same is also complete at the 6th level amenity area, and will be followed by the installation of tiles for the flooring. Dry wall partitioning and framing have also started on the 6th floor.

The topping off ceremonies for the building, which will mark is structural completion, is scheduled in November 2008.

Grand Soho Makati is the first Fully-fitted and Fully-furnished residential tower in the Philippines with three interior design options. It is located in the heart of the Makati Golden Triangle fronting H.V. Dela Costa St. in Salcedo Village, and is a joint venture project of Century Properties Inc. and United Coconut Planters Bank (UCPB), with construction manager Nova Construction & Development and architects Roger Villarosa and Associates.

Canyon Ranch completes 139 units, turns over 66 homes

More families have moved in to Canyon Ranch as developer Century Communities has completed 139 units and turned over 66 homes this month in Phases 1 and 2.

A 24-hour water supply is already available in the community and completion of permanent electric meters is underway.

Construction is ongoing in 421 units, around 300 of which are expected to be completed by the end of the year, as well as in the six clusters of The Casitas, Canyon Ranch’s Fully-fitted, Fully-furnished homes.

Also in progress is the upper ground level construction of Village Center 3, while construction is set to commence for Village Center 1 and 2, and the community Chapel.

Century Properties Management Inc. is now on-board as the Village Manager and will also facilitate the election of the Canyon Ranch Homeowners’ Association.

Canyon Ranch is located in Carmona, Cavite, just 25 minutes from Makati. It is the latest horizontal development of Century Properties, the real estate marketing, development and property management firm behind such projects as the award-winning Essensa East Forbes in Fort Bonifacio, Soho Central in the Greenfield District of Mandaluyong, the fully-fitted, fully-furnished condos South of Market and Grand Soho Makati, and The Gramercy Residences and The Knightsbridge Residences at Century City, Makati.



A total of 73 homes have been completed at Canyon Ranch in February and 42 homes have been turned over to residents
